Mare was our last land day on the cruise.
We caught the tender to the island where it docked. There is nowhere around the dock to swim nor is there any beach to speak of. But there were some pretty rock formations just off the dock.
We were not going on any organised tours so we caught a bus, organised by the cruise line, to the other side of the island to Yejele Beach.
If you want to go snorkelling this is the beach to do it in.
The water is crystal clear and not far into the water there are plenty of sections of coral to explore, with pretty fish swimming around.
You could also swim a bit further out to another coral outcropping. There is more marine life to see and Peter saw a turtle swimming. The beach is beautiful and there is also plenty of grassed areas to sit on if you don’t want to sit on the sand.
The locals have little stalls set up selling a variety of food and other items.
There is also some beautiful scenery to enjoy.
To get back to the dock you have to catch another bus. At the dock there are more stalls selling local wares. Chloe purchased a dress with colourful hibiscus flowers.

From the dock we caught the tender boat back to the ship having spent a lovely, relaxing day on the beach.
Our towel animal today was a rabbit.
