Day 9 – Sea Day

October 3, 2017July 19, 2020 By admin

This morning we awoke early and captured a beautiful sunrise.

After breakfast Kylie, Silvia and Chloe attended a Paint and Create class where we were guided through creating our own painting.
If you are into crafty stuff this was a great way to enjoy a couple of hours creating, going from a blank canvas to one full of colour!

After lunch we joined our Cruise Director, Eli as he regaled us with stories of what it’s like to live on a cruise ship. The audience got to ask him questions like ‘what happens when someone dies on a ship or gets sick’ or ‘what happens if you miss the tender boat and get left behind’ etc.
It was a great insight into the inner workings of the cruise ship.

We also wandered down to the shops to have a nosy around and ended up purchasing some alcohol, T-shirts and various other items.

Today’s towel animal was a bat.

After dinner we watched the evening’s show which was a magic show with Miss Houdini. Having never experienced a magic show before it was fascinating to watch.
Miss Houdini’s act included the use of aerial ribbons and her attempting to get out of a strait jacket in the air, the sword box, revolving head illusion and at the end she made it snow!

  • Head twister illusion
  • Sword through the box illusion
  • Getting the strait jacket off
